Typical System Designs
The design of Bitcoin ventilation systems varies but there are two basic designs. The first design uses wall exhaust fans on one side of the space that draws in outside air while pulling heated air from the enclosure. Louvers are protected from the weather by hood (s) and as an option may be followed by a bank of panel air filters. An alternative design draws in the outside air through the rain louvers and an optional air filter bank and exhausts the heated air through rooftop exhaust fans.
Enclosure Alternatives
There are many places to house the Bitcoin mining center. Some miners choose existing manufacturing facilities because of the lower cost per square foot, while others go for new construction with cooling built-in. They will also use sections of larger buildings or opt for dedicated containers to house their miners. In all cases, developing an exhaust pattern that effectively removes heat from all parts of the enclosure is most important.
The container design is getting a lot of interest because it is a cost-effective enclosure, easily customized, cooling airflow is optimal and the mining center can be moved to a new location if required due to weather or power interruptions.
